Kangana Ranaut who had not been seen such on screen character before will be seen seen smoking, drinking and uttering Hindi abuses in Anand Rai’s Tanu Weds Manu an upcoming movie that releases later this month. This is the behavior that the actor included into her character, Tanu, after the director narrated the part of the free-spirited girl to her.

It is said that Kangana has learned the behavior from one of her old friends, now an NRI, whom she knew during her theater days in Delhi. Lets talk about the story of the film.

You had often heard that Marriages are made in heaven but the road to heaven might be a little ‘Tedha’. The story of the film revolves around two future couple Tanu (Kangana Ranaut) and Manu (R. Madhavan). Meet ‘Manu’, a simple seedha saadha Doctor from London. Intelligent, calm and from a decent family, the perfect groom which every parent wants for their daughter. ‘Family pressure’ leads him to Kanpur to meet Tanu the typical small town girl who has studied in Delhi.

Tanu is a smart, intelligent girl who will do everything that her parents will object to. With a mind of her own and a love for rebellion, Tanu is not interested in an arranged marriage.
But fortune holds something totally different for these severely dissimilar characters. Their paths keep crossing time and again and weave this wonderful story through the Indian heartland.
